you want to take advantage of the credit card processing facility.
Like all things, if you want us to do a few tweaks to your existing set-up
i.e. transferring your existing domain name, having a special customized
template made or transferring your existing e-mail addresses, we can do
that for you but, unfortunately, we do have to charge a nominal fee (see

How
do I set up credit card payment processing?
STARWEBZ WebShop has a credit card payment facility included in the program,
but in order to start taking credit card payments online you need to do
two things.
1. Set-up an
online merchant account number. We recommend that you ring Barclays Bank
on 0800 616161. They will process an online merchant account number for
you in a few weeks. Please bear in mind that in most cases it is difficult
to obtain an online merchant account if you have not been trading as a
company for 12 months or more. However, you can always obtain a normal
merchant trading credit card number, if you don't do this already, which
will allow you to take payments by credit card over the telephone.
2. Once you
have your online merchant number you need a secure online credit card
clearing house to process and validate transactions. We recommend two
independent companies called SecPay and BucksNet. For details about their
products and rates you can deal directly with their web sites at www.secpay.com
and www.bucks.net

there is slightly more to it than just being able to instantly process

Do
I need an online merchant account number to sell on the Internet?
No only if you want to accept credit card payments. There are other methods
of payment including traditional check or cash on delivery which do not

Am
I restricted to 1000 items in the catalogue?
You can enter as many items as you like into the database, which is unlimited,
but we recommend that the optimum number of items appearing in your WebShop
online should be limited to about 1000 - so that the speed of items appearing
when your customers are browsing is not impaired. Each product item can
have one photograph or image attached too. (return

computer equipment do I need to run the program?
STARWEBZ WebShop will run on any standard PC equipment with MS Windows® 98/Me/NT/2000
operating systems. The following specification is recommended: Pentium
II 300MHz, 32MB RAM, 60MB of free disk space, CD-Rom drive and 800x600

I have to register with any search engines like Yahoo or Alta Vista?
We do recommend that you register with search engines so that people can
find your site easily. We specially recommend that you visit www.worldsubmit.com
or www.proboost.com who will register you
with all the world's search engines and directories for a nominal fee.
Also, this is where the search criteria that you set up in STARWEBZ WebShop
are important, because it is these keywords or 'metatags' that will be
used by search engines. The general rule of thumb about setting up keywords
is that they have to be mentioned somewhere on your website itself (otherwise
a search engine won't have anything to look for) and you can only use

already have a connection to the Internet with AOL. Can I still
use it with STARWEBZ WebShop?
Yes, you can use STARWEBZ WebShop with any dial-up connection but with AOL

I use someone else for my web hosting or do I have to use STARWEBZ hosting?
